LEEWARD ORIGINAL

The Knot Master is a Leeward Original, and the knot master is Nate Lee's father, Steve, a lifelong Hobie Cat sailor. It is a personal documentary about his dad and the water, the kind of story, equal parts fond and a little scary, that anyone who grew up around boats will recognize. The title runs two ways: the sailor's knots and the knots of nautical speed.

Leeward Productions has been making films like this since 2018, long before our commercial roster filled out. They are where our habit of finding the real human story started, and it still shows up in the client work.
